I Thor-t I might open this review with a pun, but sadly I couldn’t think of one.
So Thor. The first Thor film got a bit of criticism for being simply a lead in to The Avengers. As Honest Trailers put it, it was the film that “only exists so that non-nerds will recognise the blonde guy in The Avengers“. Which is hard to argue with, really.
But it was directed by Kenneth Branagh, because if you have more money than God why not hire a famous Shakespearean actor.
Now Thor: The Dark World doesn’t have to deal with patronising introduction duty, what could the unleashed and Branagh-less film deliver?
