2013 in review

Another year done.

2013 has been a year of highs and lows personally, but it ends on a definite high. In terms of this blog, I’m happy with where it has arrived. The unhinged rants are balanced with a wide range of reviews.

2014 Labour candidate for West Shoebury

blog photoOn May 22nd of next year, voters will go to the polls to elect representatives to the European Parliament. In Southend, voters will also be electing councillors to the Borough Council.

And as of last Saturday, for the ward of West ShoeburyI will be the Labour candidate on the ballot.

Yes, it’s announcement time — though eagle-eyed Southenders may have noticed that this particular announcement has already been made by Cllr Julian Ware-Lane earlier this week on his blog. Nonetheless, I am setting out my intent to fight for the residents of West Shoebury, and to push Southend Labour’s optimistic and forward-facing ideas for the town.

In the months to come, as well as knocking on doors and talking to voters about the issues which matter to them, I’ll be expounding here on some of the important points.

So I apologise for the forays back into local politics which this blog will be making, but there are important arguments to be made. I look forward to the fight.
